This book offers the reader a short but intense journey into Italian Freemasonry and specifically, the Italian Symbolic Rite. We trace this purely Italian expression of Freemasonry back to its sources. It was born in 1859, out of the Ausonia Lodge of Turin, which also gave birth to the Grand Orient of Italy for the purpose of ensuring the birth of a regular and sovereign Masonic Order in Italy, thereby removing any invasive external influences and pressure.

The Divine Irony of the Son of Man

Christ by His very nature is an Ironic Being. We know this, but we often breeze by this concept without thinking twice about it. Of course, He is God and man; He is LORD and Sacrifice. This is well-trod ground, but, there seems to be a much deeper Irony at work in Him. Nowhere is this Divine Irony better shown than in context of the development of the concept of the human-superhuman composite beings. We first first see it in the Nephilim of Genesis 6, who are a sort of perverse type of Christ, and we see a continual evolution of the idea of human-superhuman composite being throughout Scripture until we arrive at seeing how this idea is rectified, fulfilled, and far surpassed in Christ. Also, along the way, we will examine the term Son of Man to aide our overarching discussion of the evolution of the beings that are the topic of this current work.

Many people of a spiritual disposition often feel isolated when experiencing prolonged periods of psychological distress. Such feelings arise from numerous causes, such a grief, separation, anger, fear, or other past trauma. This work is aimed at giving both comfort and strength to those who, like Jacob Boehme, strive to make sense out of their experiences and the world around them.
Misplaced perceptions of faith exacerbate that imbalance. Despite the challenges of faith in a world where suffering seems to hold the upper hand, Boehme decided to "take a chance on God" rather than give up on his faith completely. Boehme's autobiographical discourses reveal how he came to terms with suffering and would come to regard negative feelings as a primal instinct deriving from fear.
